Our Founder

Taufe-Hue Private Capital LLC is spearheaded by Chief Executive Officer, Antonio D. Cooper Sr., an expert in real estate and community development for the past decade. Formerly the Community Development Director for the Village of Sauk Village and presently the Village Administrator for the Village of Phoenix, Antonio boasts extensive expertise in real estate finance, construction, and rehabbing. As a Board Member of the South Suburban Land Bank Development Authority, he successfully secured $2,265,000 in grant funding for the Village of Phoenix and $1,051,728 for the Village of Sauk Village. This funding encompasses support for the rehabilitation of single-family homes catering to low-income individuals and seniors. Antonio is deeply dedicated to assisting community residents in need of home repairs, striving to enhance their quality of life.

Objectives & Strategies

We partner with local municipalities to identify properties in need of redevelopment. Collaborating directly, we identify distressed and blighted properties that can be redeveloped for the benefit of the community. By raising funds and providing apprenticeship opportunities, we aim to revitalize neighborhoods and create sustainable, long-term solutions to urban blight.

Apprentice Program

Our apprentice program offers hands-on training and mentorship to help you develop the skills you need for a successful career. As we expand our apprenticeship into an academy, you'll have the opportunity to receive accreditation and advance your career even further.

Extend Your Help

Your donations support our mission to revitalize communities and empower individuals through our apprenticeship programs. Our non-profit organization, Effective Housing Group NFP, will receive most of the donation when we receive our 501(c)3 certification, ensuring that your contributions have a lasting impact on those in need.

Grant

We're excited to share that Taufe-Hue Private Capital LLC has been awarded a grant from the state's Restore, Reinvest, Renew (#R3) program, further enabling us to sustain vital services like our Apprenticeship Programs. This grant underscores our commitment to attracting apprentices and pursuing additional funding from donors and private investors eager to support our real estate projects. We extend our sincere appreciation to Governor Pritzker and Lt. Governor Stratton for their ongoing dedication to our community's prosperity.

What is the R3 Program?

In January 1, 2020, Illinois passed the Cannabis Regulation and Trust Act, making it is legal for adults to use cannabis for recreational. This law also created the Restore, Reinvest, and Renew (R3) program. R3 gives money from cannabis sales to help communities that have been hurt by things like lack of investment, violence, and problems caused by the war on drugs. The R3 program gets 25% of the money made from selling recreational cannabis to adults. They will give out around $45 million to the second group of R3 grant recipients.
