We team up with construction and manufacturing firms, financial institutions, local governments, and organizations focused on affordable housing, mental health, and substance abuse support. Become a Volunteer
We're in need of volunteer instructors
- Entrepreneurial mindset (teaching experience preferred but not required)
- Financial management – budgeting, credit scores, business plans
- Basic math
- Resume writing/interviewing skills
- Trades training
As our outreach extends closer to trainees' residences, additional teaching staff will be required. Classes are held once a week for four weeks, with each session lasting 90 minutes to 2 hours.
We welcome volunteers with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to work with and support our trainees:
- Individuals with construction or trade expertise
- Community members offering transportation assistance
- Bilingual speakers
- Mentors for trainee support
- Individuals with personal experiences (e.g., prior incarceration, recovery from substance abuse, mental health challenges, Veterans)
- Grant writers and fundraising experts
- Mentors specializing in financial literacy
- Individuals proficient in social media management
